As part of the modernisation of the ‘La Castalie’ centre in Monthey, a project in collaboration with Ken Architects involved the design of three new buildings to provide a modern and functional home for 160 people with disabilities. The infrastructure was adapted to meet future needs, and the requirements for care furniture – particularly in the area of care beds – were exceptionally high. Embru, with its furniture manufactured in Rüti and Wald, was best able to meet the specifications and was awarded the contract for 160 Fortuna Viva care beds, 160 mattresses and 160 bedside tables in a special colour.
The modernisation of ‘La Castalie’ represents an important step towards improving the quality of life for people with disabilities and underlines the great importance of functional and individually tailored furnishings in care facilities.
