Centre School Building

The planned ‘Toucano’ project, modelled on the tropical bird with its striking coloured beak and colourful plumage, was intended to symbolise the character of the new school building. In addition to the structural work, there was a further dimension to the project: namely, to integrate all the secondary school’s previously off-site facilities (school kitchens, craft/textile design and IT workstations) into the building due for refurbishment. Summing up all these aspects, the guiding principle was: complete refurbishment and extension – naturally including all the furniture. A task for a one-stop provider.
