Building on a long tradition of designing durable and timeless garden furniture, the ‘Park Chair’ outdoor chair was created in collaboration with designer Moritz Schmid. The positioning of the tubular steel rear legs defines the chair’s appearance. Their curved shape lends the design a sense of dynamism and makes the seat appear lower, giving the chair the character of an armchair. The seat and backrest are thin and finely cut. These deep-drawn sheet steel elements are fluidly shaped and defined by precise contours.
The ‘Park Chair’ is available in a monochrome colourway in grey-blue or wine red. In a fully hot-dip galvanised version, this stackable chair epitomises Embru’s functional outdoor furniture, which has shaped the company’s history since the 1939 National Exhibition. With the Park Chair, Embru presents a piece of outdoor furniture that is equally suited to public spaces and private terraces. The Park Chair is stackable up to 6 units. The model will be added to the range in the course of 2022.

The ‘Park Chair’ is the result of a commissioned project for Moritz Schmid and draws on Embru’s long history of durable and timeless outdoor furniture. The arched rear legs and the way they are positioned are the key features of the design. They lend the chair its dynamism and make the seat appear lower, giving the ‘Park Chair’ the feel of an easy chair. The seat and backrest surfaces are thin and finely cut. These deep-drawn sheet steel elements are fluidly shaped yet defined by clear lines.
The ‘Park Chair’ is available in two monochrome colour options – grey-blue and wine red – or with a fully galvanised frame, seat and backrest. This stackable chair is an allegory to the functional outdoor furniture that Embru has been producing since the Swiss National Exhibition in 1939 and which has shaped the company’s history. With this new chair, Embru is presenting a piece of furniture that is equally suitable for public spaces as it is for private patios. The Park Chair can be stacked up to six high and will be added to the collection later this year.
